This is one of my favourite songs of this amazing play.
As an atheist, I don’t really enjoy religious things in general, for I more often than not fail to make sense of them, my mind just doesn’t work that way.
But this thing? I love it with all my heart.
Because there’s the Great Messiah, suffering just as any of us would in Gethsemane, torn between his mission to God and his fear of death. And then choosing to sacrifice himself for our sins.
(And Judas from the movie is the best singer ever, too <3)
